Some clips from a visit to the Detroit Land Bank december 2014 open houses in the Boston Edison Historic District. They need a ton of work, and are surrounded by miles of blight, but have the historic character worthy of restoration.

I looked at 888 Longfellow on Google Earth and on the 2016 it still looked a bit of mess though the porch seemed to have been repaired.

It’s a shame that families move on into newer homes and leaving these wonderful old homes to the jiggers to meet there destruction . Blacks will never take care of anything . They buy expensive cars and in less than a year the cars will have dents and 32 wheels . The jiggers is what destroy cities and destroy companies . The reason why De -Toilet went down hill is not totally company’s fault because of stubbornness to improve . The companies did really tried or to modernize . It’s not the Union ether . It’s the jiggers . Just face the facts . I worked every type of jobs there was almost . I work beside Mexicans , Asians , Whites and Blacks . Out of all these people I worked with the worst are the blacks . They want to take more brakes , Not show up , doing drugs and even selling drugs on the job . But not all blacks are that way but about 90 % of them are . They are the ones that destroy cities . They will follow every white red yellow skinned man around . If the whites move the fking jiggers will follow . I dont even want to be around them at all . They will destroy everything .
